Yes! Vivienne Westwood is still very popular and her icon status was cemented in the zeitgeist when her dress was the centrepiece of the sex & the city movie… some have even blamed it for the failure of their first wedding!
The Vivienne Westwood brand is still incredibly popular, he designs are punk but beautiful. Sold out styles can become incredibly rare and sought after and often sell for more than the retail price – for example the granny bags in cool colours and prints. Vivienne Westwood pieces tend to get better with age too!

Personally I would always try to shop in store so you can see the quality for yourself, but the gold label products are always the best quality.
Are Vivienne Westwood bags durable?
Yes! Vivienne Westwood bags are really durable and great quality. I bought my first bag when I was 24 and 15 years later it’s still looking amazing! The bags can vary in terms of quality so the less well made bags will not last as well, but my 15 year old bag wasn’t a particularly fancy one and that’s still looking amazing! So you can buy in good faith!
What other bags can I buy for a similar price?!
If you aren’t 100% sure about Vivienne Westwood bags, then have a look at coach bags which are great quality and a similar price, possibly a little more money, but not far off, especially on sale. Or have a look at Kate spade bags. Lulu Guinness bags are also fun and a similar price and Cambridge satchel company are great too. Also a previous collaboration brand for Vivienne Westwood too!
