I have bought SO many of these adorable Vivienne Westwood granny frame bags in my time and I absolutely love them!! They are quite mini, but if you pack them carefully, you can fit quite a lot inside! They are cute as a top handle bag held in your hand, but personally I love them with the chain strap over my shoulder.

It’s a really cute handbag and over the years it’s come in all sorts of colours, fabrics and finishes, but I think one of my favourites EVER has to be this adorable pink gingham version. It’s right in time for the launch of the Barbie movie and it’s fantastic! Plus if I’m not mistaken, one of the most famous scenes of the film features Margot Robbie in a pink gingham dress, just like this bag! So cute!!!!

Vivienne Westwood granny frame bag review!

Ok! So I’m going to be honest, I don’t have this exact pink gingham bag, but over the years i have had 4 or 5 of these iconic granny frame bags and I love them! I’ve had them in leather and fabric finishes and I’ve always been so impressed with them. The quality is lovely, they are really cute to style and you can dress them up and down.

They are nice and light to wear and if you pack them carefully you can get quite a lot inside them. They have one large section and one small zip section in them too.

They are a really affordable designer handbag and they are cute for summer and winter! The only drawback to them is if you overstuff them too much, they can pop open, which can be a little annoying. But other than that they are fantastic!

Oh and my top tip for these bags is to attach the end of the chain strap to the short handle strap so that it makes the strap a little longer, meaning you can wear these bags crossbody. I used to attach the chain side at the front and the handle strap part at the back. And sometimes I would add some bag charms on too. Because Vivienne Westwood is a punk brand, I always thought this was a fun way to style it and I loved wearing these bags cross body with a cute dress.

Cons: it can pop open if you over stuff them, chain strap is not crossbody unless you attach it to the shorter handle
